Spare us a minute so we can tell you what it is. This started as a little idea when a little unknown virus called covid-19 landed in the UK, we were all put in lockdown & told not to go out! But that didn’t stop our local superhero’s who wanted to start a food bank to help people in our community who may of fell on hard times due to the pandemic, all it took was a call from Wes Nolan of Rylands rugby club to us advising that there was an idea the local councillor Sue emery was thinking about and a week later the pub being closed became the poulton with fearnhead parish council food bank it was even mentioned in parliament by our local mp this then evolved into the cabin on the car park once the pub was allowed to reopen and again grew to the cabin and the container to what is now… The 40ft pink container because when the foodbank had funds to purchase the adapted container, Sue had to have it made in pink. We love it. The foodbank on the car park is still growing with increasing demand but is operated every Wednesday & Friday 10-13:00 by the local volunteers who help so many in all weathers every week.
